What can I do at SPRU?
SPRU
SPRU is a tabletop wargaming convention that hosts vendors who sell cool stuff, and exhibitors who put on great activities. You will be able to engage with some truly unique wargaming sculptors, independant artists, game designers and members of the community.

Where can I park my car?
Metered Street Parking
Metered street parking is available on any of the side streets surrounding the Albert Hall. Cheaper tariffs can be found in Zone 2 areas near the Albert Hall on College St and The Ropewalk. The charging period is between the hours of 8am and 10pm and the tariff is variable, payment options include the Ringo app or card payments at the meter.
Day Parking
Nottingham Mount Street NCP Car Park & Nottingham St James Street NCP Car Park are located closeby. Slightly further out is Q-Park Talbot Street.
What is the venue accessibility like?
Accessible entrance
Located directly off the Maid Marion Way roundabout adjacent to Nottingham Central Police Station. Access is gained via a small ramp leading to a level entrance labelled Entrance 4. An intercom is provided at this entrance, where access can be requested. Once alerted a member of the venue team will open the door and assist if required.

Venue floorplan
The Ground Floor Osborne Suite will host 20 vendors. Presentations and Q&As will be held in Syndicate Rooms 1, 2 and 3.
The Osborne Lounge will be a dedicated hang out and chill space.
The First Floor Great Hall will host 21 exhibitors, activities and game demos.
Attendees are welcome to lounge in the theatre seats that circle the hall and watch the world go by.
Is there food and drink at the venue?
Food and Drink
The venue has a bar on site that sells non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. It also sells light snacks such as crisps, chocolate bars, flapjacks, tea/coffee, soft drinks, sweets etc.
Filled rolls and baguettes will be available.

There are two Tesco Express shops within a 5 minute walk.

Can I buy a ticket on the door?
Tickets
Tickets will be available on the door for the same price as they are listed online.
Only so many tickets are available. Please purchase online beforehand so you aren’t disappointed.
If tickets sell out, then a review will be made to release more and this website will be updated.
Can I bring my children? Do they need a ticket?
Children
You are welcome to bring your child and introduce them to the world of tabletop gaming. Children under 18 can buy a ticket at reduced cost online and on the door. Aged 18 or over will need to buy an adult ticket.
Please note that some material at SPRU may not be appropriate for all ages.
All children must be accompanied by an adult and the adult takes all responsibility for their childs behaviour.
Can I bring my own stuff to "sell from my backpack"?
Backpack Vendors
If any attendee that is not part of the Vendor or Exhibitor team wants to sell goods at SPRU, they must first check in with the convention organiser and have their wares inspected and approved at the event. Approved “backpack vendors” will be given a wristband that confirms their right to sell informally at SPRU. This is to ensure that the content and stock is appropriate for the convention.
Attendees not given a wristband are not allowed to trade at SPRU.
Any attendee caught trading without a wristband will be asked to leave the convention immediately and will not be issued a refund.
