By purchasing a ticket, trading, working alongside, or on behalf of SPRU you agree to the following code of conduct.
1.0 All participants will:
1.1 Always act with respect and civility towards fellow attendees, staff and vendors.
1.2 Abide by the venue location’s rules.
1.3 Comply with a reasonable direction of a SPRU staff member or vendor on behalf of a staff member.
1.4 Maintain a socially acceptable standard of personal hygiene. This is a sensitive matter and will be treated as such.
1.5 Ensure that any creative works sold or advertised at SPRU are not connected to generative A.I language models or image generation in any way.
1.6 The following behaviours will not be tolerated:
1.6.1 Acts or statements of discrimination relating to age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage/civil partnership status, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. Click here for more information on protected characteristics.
1.6.2 Bullying behaviours.
1.6.3 Acting in an unsporting manner during any participation activity.
1.6.4 Acting in an unlawful manner.
1.6.5 Acting in any other manner which brings SPRU into disrepute.
Behaving in a manner that is against the Spru Code of Conduct can lead to that individual having their ticket cancelled or vendor agreement revoked.
If you ever feel uncomfortable because of comments from an individual connected to SPRU, or there is any other concern, please contact the SPRU organisers or write an e-mail to our staff. Your concerns will be handled confidentially.
We’re here to kitbash a community. Sometimes the cost of community is minor inconvenience, but should never be more than that.
